We don't express love to one another because we are afraid.
And yet there is no fear in love ... perfect love casts out fear ...
So the love we are afraid to express is not perfect ...
So many hang ups .....
The very thing we boast about ... our freedom
Is an eagle with clipped wings .....
Grounded for safe keeping .... held captive
God is that perfect love .... let's grow our wings and fly.

This is really beautiful....
The unconditional love that I strive for is a goal post for me. My humanity and and unfounded fear separates me from the source of all love and power, and I become more fearful and can slip into dis-ease. My flights (ability to give and receive unconditional love) however, have become longer as time passes and I trust my wings. I like the line grounded for safe keeping ... held captive. We spend so much of our lives in survival mode, sometimes wounded by our failed attempts to learn a lesson, we put our lives on hold, and survive. God wants us to experience it all ... all the passion and joy we can bump into.....

Your blog is very true and I'm sure many people feel the same including me. What a lovely idea!
It is very hard to keep the faith but with regular appeals to God for his help and understanding,
things do work out the way they're meant to and we become more peaceful and happier to be ourselves.
It's really hard to love ourselves and feel worthy of love because we're human and very judgmental, but God is all loving and all forgiving. If we can hold on to that realization it gradually gets easier.
It's taken me a very long time to get this far but I try to keep moving forward and believe that He knows what is best and that He'll show me the way, the truth and the light because He is.
